Just south of Bruneau, Idaho, a tiny town in western Idaho, lies the Bruneau Canyon. This remote rugged landscape contains deposits of this rare semiprecious gemstone. Mining for this Jasper has long been closed down. The only stones being cut today are from old stock, making this gemstone harder and harder to find!
